What follows is an easy recipe for savory and spicy chicken drumsticks, whether for a meal or wholesome snack. It takes about 30-45 minutes (depending on your oven) to prepare and bake.

Makes 8 drumsticks.

Ingredients

  • Two packages of pasture-raised chicken drumsticks (about 2 lbs.)

  • 1/2 cup of avocado oil

  • 1/4 cup of coconut aminos

  • 1 tablespoon of organic mustard

  • 1 tablespoon of organic minced onions

  • 1 teaspoon of minced garlic

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • 1 teaspoon of pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes

Directions

  1. Preheat the grill or set the oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Mix together all the ingredients in a large bowl.

  3. Add in the drumsticks.

  4. Cover bowl and place in refrigerator for at least 1 hour, stirring so all drumsticks are thoroughly coated.

  5. Grill, turning often, for about 35 minutes. Or, bake for about 30-35 minutes if using a convection oven or 40-45 minutes if using a standard oven.

  6. Remove from the grill or oven when drumsticks are cooked, and the skin is lightly browned.
